Physiokey is my go to machine
Personally, Physiokey is one of my favourite machines to use. I’ve used it on myself, friends, horses and dogs, many times, and I’ve consistently seen amazing results.
Many animals show a noticeable reduction in pain and discomfort within as little as 30 minutes of treatment. Some horses appear more relaxed, freer in their movement, and much more comfortable after just one session.
One example that really stands out to me was a dog I treated for a sore hip. He was extremely nervous and normally wouldn’t even let a dog brush near him. At the start of the treatment, he was shaking and pressed up against his owner in fear. Within a few minutes, he was lying down completely relaxed, which was unheard of for this dog. Moments like that are exactly why I love this machine.
Every horse and animal responds differently. Some may benefit immediately, while others may need follow-up treatments for longer-term support.
What is PhysioKey?
PhysioKey uses biofeedback technology, meaning the device responds to the tissue it is treating in real time. The impulses adapt continuously depending on how the body reacts, allowing treatment to remain gentle and individual to each horse.
The treatment may help to:
-
Reduce muscle tension and soreness
-
Support circulation and lymphatic drainage
-
Encourage relaxation
-
Improve mobility and movement
-
Aid recovery after exercise or injury
-
Support soft tissue healing
The treatment is applied through the coat using handheld electrodes and is usually very well tolerated by horses. Many horses visibly relax during sessions and enjoy the calm approach.
What can PhysioKey be used for?
PhysioKey may be beneficial for horses experiencing:
-
Muscle tightness
-
Back or neck discomfort
-
Compensation patterns
-
General stiffness
-
Recovery after work or competition
-
Older horses needing mobility support
-
Rehabilitation support alongside veterinary guidance
Treatment plans are always tailored to the individual horse and their specific needs.
A horse-led approach
Every horse is different, which is why I always work at your horse’s pace. I allow them time and space to understand the treatment and feel comfortable throughout the session.
